219-221 E Main St,
Lititz Moravian Historic District is on the National Register of Historic Places as are four individual buildings including the one across the street. (The other three are: Congregational Store, Werner House, Sutter House.)
In 1784 Peter Kreiter built the two story peaked stone home; he was a butcher and ran a wagon shop. The attached stone and brick building was added in 1861 when Julius Sturgis began the first commercial hard pretzel bakery in the nation. Public restrooms are inside.
On your walk back after this audio tour, sign up to try your hand at making a pretzel and seeing the old ovens.
Now continue walking towards the High Victorian Gothic chapel and cross the driveway in front of it called Laverly Lane then stop.
